Frequently Asked Questions

We would prefer it if the customer can give us at least a few hours of notice, that would be very helpful.

It is a good idea to be home, so that you can ensure that you understand the repairs needed and can ask questions. But as long as you can be reached over the phone, it is not necessary for you to be onsite for the appointment, and we can access to the project it is okay if for whatever reason you are not able to be home.

The first thing a homeowner should do, is turn off the water supply. This is usually located at the front of the house, in the basement. There will be an access panel, and a shut off valve that you turn clockwise so that it is flat with the pipe. If for whatever reason you cannot find your shut off valve or are not able to shut it off yourself, if you have not already, call a plumber ASAP, to avoid as much damage as you can.

Exact timelines are hard to give, as it depends on the schedule that day. But usually a plumber will be able to arrive within an hour if you live in the valley. After hours emergency calls can usually be responded to ASAP.

Estimates are free of charge.

We don’t want to waste anyone’s time so if you have pictures or a budget in mind, it can be very helpful. However, for an on-site consultation, the cost is $200 and if we do the work, it is included in the estimate.

A bid is a hard cost to do the work and an estimate is more open-ended meaning either we don’t feel we have all the information to provide an exact cost or we need to be sure we have access to everything first before we can provide a more accurate bid or quote.
